If you want to spark a lively debate at your next dinner party or social gathering, just try bringing up the subject of health insurance. You will undoubtedly set off a firestorm of opinions. Years ago, acquiring your first health coverage was almost a right of passage. You began your career and you were automatically enrolled in your employers health plan after your first 90 days of employment.
That still takes place today but the health care sector has grown into a huge industry with ever increasing resources and costs to meet demand and advances in medical technology and care. This results in Policy rates increasing at an astounding pace with the result that more employers are cutting back on their plans or doing away with their health benefit packages entirely.
Naturally, this article cannot hope to tell you everything you ever wanted to know about health insurance. When it comes to health insurance there is no “one size fits all.” However, what it does is to provide you with a general understanding and enough knowledge to grasp the basics and know how to research the market to find a health plan more appropriate to your own circumstances and budget.
The most important tool you can have when looking for good health insurance is knowledge. So, before you can make any informed decisions about what type of plan is appropriate for you, we must first grasp an understanding of the complex nature of health insurance. What is it and what kind of policies are out there.
Health insurance can be defined as a legal contract between two or more parties that promises certain performance in exchange for considerations. A health insurance policy is considered a unilateral contract. This is because only one party (the insurer) is required to fulfil their obligation. While a policy owner may decide to terminate premium payments, as long as the payments are paid the insurer must meet their responsibility under the contract.
A health insurance policy can provide just one or any combination of certain benefits:
- Hospital, medical and surgical expenses resulting from sickness or an accident
- Accidental death or dismemberment
- Disability resulting from accident or sickness (sometimes this can also be referred to as “loss of income” or “loss of time”
Without stating the obvious, an accident is an injury that occurs accidentally. A sickness is an illness or disease that is not the result of an accident. Knowing the difference is important because policies may have different provisions that apply to accidents or sickness. Also, there are some companies that sell a separate accident policy that does not include sickness. The terms accident and sickness are widely used and often interchangeable in any discussion of health insurance. They are often abbreviated as A&H and A&S. Note that health insurance can also be referred to as medical insurance, especially in Europe.
As we discussed above, health insurance is designed to protect again two types of economic loss. Loss of income and expenses for medical care which places them in either of two broad policy categories:
- Disability income policies
- Medical expense policies
Disability income policies can also be referred to as loss of income, loss of time or replacement income. This type of policy will pay benefits to an insured who is disabled and can no longer work to earn a regular income. Payments can be weekly or monthly depending on the policy.
Medical expense policies are represented by a wide range of coverage from very minimal to comprehensive packages with multiple coverage. Some include both accidents and illnesses, various hospital expenses and other costs pertaining to medical care such as:
- Accident and sickness policies
- Hospital policies
- Basic medical expense policies
- Major medical expense policies
- Comprehensive medical expense policies
Any of these policies might cover various combinations of the above and may be paid in a lump sum. With Accident Policies, some cover only accidents and not illness. As you might imagine, policies like this are very specific about what is considered an accident.
It is important to understand what is defined as an accident as it pertains to the health insurance industry. . .an accident is an event that is unforeseen and unintended. Keep in mind that any discussion of this type of policy also applies to any type of policy that includes accidental coverage not just accident specific policies. Accident benefits are most commonly paid for accidental loss of life (also called accidental death), accidental loss of limb or sigh (dismemberment), loss of time and/or income, hospital expenses, surgical expenses, and medical expenses like visits to the doctor.
Let’s expand a bit on dismemberment. As we said, this would be loss of limb or sight, however, different states have statutes that define dismemberment and they can vary from state to state. This is a subject that you need to discuss with your insurance agent to determine what actually constitutes dismemberment in your state.
Accidental Death Benefit can also be referred to as “principal sum.” This type of coverage should not be confused with life insurance. There is a world of difference between the two. Life insurance policies will generally apply regardless of the cause of death. An accidental benefit is paid ONLY if the death is accidental as opposed to a death by natural causes or illness. The person who received the death benefit is called the beneficiary. The policy owner has the right and responsibility of naming beneficiaries. Usually there is a primary beneficiary however he/she can assign a second and even a third beneficiary.
The primary beneficiary is the first person in line to receive the benefit in the event of the death of the policy holder. They can also name a second beneficiary who would receive the benefit in the event the primary beneficiary dies before the insured. Some policies can include a third beneficiary who would be in line after the first two.
There is much more to be learned about accidental death policies, but I would like to mention one important element before I move on. An accidental death may not be instant. A person can die as a result of an accidental injury months after the accident occurrence. Read the policy carefully because most stipulate that the accidental death benefit will only be paid if death occurs within three months of the accident.
Hopefully this has given you an overview on what health insurance is and the types of policies available. For more detailed FREE information, written in plain English, visit healthinsurance.goals4living.com where the various types of policies are described in more detail.

Many people think that if they call a national health insurance company that is not in their home state, that they will get better health insurance premium rates. This isn’t true, and in fact, if you shop locally, you may get a better rate.

Trying to find a reasonable health insurance quote is the true definition of sheer frustration. So many calls, so many websites, so many insurance agents with ideas, and so many questions that ones head starts spinning after about the third call.

While shopping is a good idea, it just might turn out to be counterproductive if the insurance company providing the quote is from out-of-state. Only the local guys really know their area inside out and are able to provide excellent service, good rates and provide customers with insider knowledge on what the “real” scoop is for health insurance in your area.

Calling a large company in some other state will not get good service, will not provide insider details on which doctors provide what services and which hospitals will offer what, because they have no clue what the conditions are like where a caller lives. The best an out-of-state insurance company is able to offer is a generic package that may or may not fit the caller’s needs.

Shopping for healthcare insurance premiums locally is smart because the agents know the true meaning of customer service and being there for the clients when something goes wrong. Those “other” companies in Timbuktu could care less about customer service and certainly won’t adequately be able to represent the customers in any types of disputes with any degree of accuracy or efficiency.

Local agents know everything about the area and the networks. They are aware of which companies will honor claims, which ones don’t honor them, and what services various local doctors offer.

To be honest, this is precisely the type of information a customer wanting to buy health insurance really needs to know to make an informed decision about what they want to buy. Once a customer has the “scoop” they are able to choose from a wide range of policies and find one that is a snug fit for an individual or family.

Sept. 13, 2005 - People covered by private health insurance may be more
likely to receive follow-up care within a week for an urgent medical condition
than those with Medicaid or without health insurance.
A new study shows that callers claiming to have private health insurance
were about twice as likely to get a follow-up appointment at an ambulatory
clinic within a week after an emergency room visit than those without insurance
or with Medicaid.
The results suggest that callers’ health insurance status may be more
important to most people answering the phones and scheduling appointments at
ambulatory care clinics than their health status.
Researchers say that while 98% of the clinics contacted screened callers for
health insurance status, only 28% attempted to determine the severity of the
callers’ medical condition.
Health Insurance Makes a Difference
Researchers say Americans will make about 114 million visits to hospital
emergency departments in 2005 and more than 80% will be treated and discharged
with recommendations for follow-up care. But many uninsured people often
experience problems making follow-up appointments within the recommended time
frame.
In the study, published in The Journal of the American Medical
Association, researchers looked at the role insurance status plays in
securing a follow-up appointment for an urgent medical condition identified
during an emergency room visit.
Research assistants made calls to nearly 500 ambulatory clinics in nine U.S.
cities from May 2002 to February 2003 and identified themselves as new patients
who had been treated in an emergency room and required an urgent follow-up
appointment within a week. Callers read a script detailing one of three
possible medical scenarios requiring follow-up, including pneumonia, high blood
pressure, or a possible ectopic pregnancy (a potentially life-threatening,
early pregnancy occurring outside the uterus, such as within the fallopian
tube).
The same assistant called each clinic twice with the same medical scenario
but with a different insurance status.
Insured vs. Noninsured: Getting an Appointment
The results showed that the availability of follow-up appointments varied
according to insurance status. For example:

64% of callers with private insurance were offered a follow-up appointment
within a week vs. 47% of callers overall.
Callers with private health insurance were more likely to receive
appointments than those claiming to have Medicaid coverage (64% vs. 34%)
Callers with private health insurance also had higher appointment rates
than those without insurance who offered to pay $20 and arrange for payment of
the balance (65% vs. 25%)

But researchers found no difference in follow-up appointment rates between
those with private insurance and uninsured people willing to pay cash for the
entire visit fee (about $100 for a typical visit).
“These study findings suggest that reported insurance status influences
access to follow-up appointments for patients with conditions requiring urgent
ambulatory follow-up care,” write researcher Bret Asplin, MD, MPH, of the
department of emergency medicine at Regions Hospital and HealthPartners
Research Foundation in St. Paul, Minn., and colleagues. “Although the
ultimate consequences of these access barriers are not known, they may result
in patients delaying needed follow-up care, risking adverse outcomes, or
requiring additional emergency care or hospitalization.”

Whether you already know it or not California has a lot of options for health insurance. There are companies that we all heard of and there are some companies that we never heard of. With all the Health Insurance Companies out there you might be wondering what the differences are and which one is right for you.

First in state of California the health insurance companies you should be looking at are; Aetna, Assurant, Blue Cross, Blue Shield, HealthNet, Kaiser, Nationwide, PacifiCare, Celtic and new company that is going to be available in state of California is Golden Rule. These are the largest carriers that are available in the State of California. If you are looking at any other company that was not mentioned previously, use caution. With all the health insurance premiums going up there are companies that prey on people with low premiums and coverage that does not cover anything. They are just out there to make a quick buck buy collection as much premiums as they can before you cancel your coverage. Stay away from companies that you never heard of, not matter what they tell you. If you hear something like, affordable health insurance for self-employed, run.

Second what you have to understand that the actual cost of insurance no matter what company you go with is about the same. So how do insurance companies have so many different plans with different premiums? If it is a large insurance company and the company ran efficiently that is how you get great premium with great coverage. What creates variety of prices for coverage is the creative aspect of the insurance company designing their plans. The way they do it is by deductibles, co-pays, co-insurance, drug coverage deductibles, whether the plan covers brand name drugs or generic drugs only, maternity coverage, maximum out of pocket, deductible and co-pays for all kind of different services.

The name we all know is Blue Cross Blue Shield. Blue Cross has been around since the recession of 1929, and it used to cost only 1 cent a day. The times have changes since then, but the Blue Cross name is still around. Blue Cross has been over the years the most stable largest health insurance provider in the United States. Their strategy is to keep rates stable and have stable rate increases. While most other plans might lower their rates to get more people on their coverage and then keep increasing their rates. There fore as some plans might be more attractive in premiums at the moment over time eventually they have to catch up with the actual market health insurance rates. Sometime the company has to charge people more for health insurance in the future so they can give more affordable rates today. Blue Cross will give the one of the largest varieties of plans to choose from and you can always downgrade a plan without going through underwriting is the monthly premiums because to expensive.

The most competitive health insurance coverage you will be able to get in California today is through Aetna and once Golden Rule plans come out by United Health Care then Golden Rule plans are going to be the most completive plan. Every time most of the large insurance company enters a new state with a new plan they make that plan more combative just to capture the percentage of that market eventually the company will have to raise their rates to the market level. Aetna plans in California are the most competitive. This is where you can get the most coverage for your money. Keep in mind that the Aetna Individual plans in the state of California do not cover Maternity.

Assurant Health Plans is provided through Fortis Insurance Company which is the 26th largest company in the world and Fortis Insurance Company has been around since 1892. Assurant Health Plans are the most widely accepted and flexible plans that are available on the market today. Assurant Health Plans utilizes dozens of provider networks Nationwide to give you the worlds largest selections of doctors in United States and worldwide. Assurant Health Plans are the only plans that will cover you world wide as they will cover you in the United States. There is a big difference when insurance company says that you are covered for emergencies worldwide. Insurance company can make a final decision on whether that was true emergency or not. Assurant Health Plans have no such restrictions. Assurant is the only company that will allow you to move to different state without going through underwriting process all over again. That meant that with most companies even if it is a same company if you move from one state to another you have to cancel you policy in the current state and re-apply in the state that you are moving to. The down side with Assurant in some states is that they are not the most competitive and harder to get approved for. If you considering HSA plan Assurant is the best options available to individuals and families.

Blue Shield of California is great coverage especially if it is young family looking for a plan with maternity coverage and for a family where one of the adults on the plans is significantly younger than the other. Blue Shield bases their monthly premiums on the youngest primary policy holder. This can be any adult in the family. Blue Shield plans have low maximum out of pocket and wide acceptance with doctors. A lot of doctors in state of California prefer Blue Shield plans because Blue Shield reimburses them faster than most other insurance companies. Keep in mind that in some states Blue Cross and Blue Shield are the same company in state of California they are two different insurance companies competing for your business.

HealthNet of California is the insurance company available in western states. HealthNet family plans are affordable, have some of the lowest maximum out of pocket and designed for healthy individuals and families. The new line of plans form HealthNet are their popular no deductible PPO plans. Which are not the greatest plans for families. No deductible plans are not designed for families since they have extremely high maximum out of pocket witch might be a great fit for single healthy individuals. HealthNet of California also offers some of the best HMO plans available on the market.

HealthNet simple design and affordable plans are perfect match for healthy families. The way their family plans work is that once you meet your deductible HealthNet will pay 100% for all of your medical expenses after that. The down side is that their family plans do not cover regular sick doctor visits. The money that you are going to save monthly is going to be way worth no having doctor visits covered until the deductible is met. All you will get is negotiated rates that HealthNet has with doctors and hospitals. Your doctor office visits are going to cost you anywhere from $65 to $65 per visit.

Nationwide Health Plans have some of the great unique options that other plans just dont offer. The only way you can get Nationwide health plans is by being a member of California Farm Bureau. Anyone can become a member of California Farm Bureau also know as Farmers Association. Because it is a group plans it has some options available that most individual plans do not have. You still have to qualify medically to get health insurance through Nationwide. Nationwide offers some of the most comprehensive health plans available on the market today. Nationwide health plans offer low maximum out of pocket. Some plans that they offer work similar to the way HealthNets plans work. Once you meet your deductible nationwide covers everything at 100% and Nationwide plans cover doctor visit before you meet your deductible and Nationwide is the only health insurance company that has no prescription drug deductible on most of their plans. If you are looking for the most competitive HSA plans, Nationwide will be your choice.

PacifiCare is company that has been available to Californians for a long time until recently they were bought by United Health Care. PacificaCare will be replaced by Golden Rule health plans. If you have PacifiCare you might want to find out if you will have to re-qualify medically for new health insurance once they take the company of the market. Golden Rule owned by United Health Care witch known as the quality company and recommended everywhere. If you are considering PacifiCare I would wait for Golden Rule or get something else.

There are many people in the United States that are looking for health insurance, the only problem with this is that for many people the cost of health insurance is far to expensive for them to afford. The reason why many people cannot afford the high cost of health insurance is because a good portion of the country is unemployed and they don’t have the means necessary to pay for health insurance. Unfortunately most of the most popular plans are very expensive and many people do not know that they can get affordable family plans with other companies.
One of the best ways to find some health insurance quotes for affordable family insurance is by typing in “affordable family insurance” online in a search engine like Google. Many of the quotes that are given from these companies are less expensive than quotes you would be able to find when you are looking other ways. Remember when you are doing this make sure to shop around, just because something comes up first one a online search doesn’t mean that it is the best option available. Every company is different and every family is different so you have to look at each one differently. Once you find a health insurance quote that looks good to you, follow the link and go to the homepage of the insurance company.
At the homepage you will be able to find a ton of different information about the company ranging from the history, to how many people they insure, to even how much they can save you if you use their services. Once you find a company you are really interested in contact an health insurance agent and they will be able to help you get set up with an affordable family insurance plan. Remember to read all of the fine print when you are signing up for this insurance. It is important to read everything including disclaimers about conditions that you may already have. This is where many people fall into a trap and get tricked into paying more for health conditions that have already surfaced, this not only applies to the person purchasing the health insurance but also for your children and spouse.
One of the most important reasons why people purchase affordable family insurance is because children need insurance. Children are always getting hurt playing sports, running around, and doing everything else kids do. It is very dangerous for children to not be insured because they get hurt so often and without insurance the medical bills can be extremely high and the injury can become a huge financial burden for the parents. This is one of the best reasons for people to look into getting Affordable Family Insurance plans for everyone in their family if they can afford it.

Proper planning with respect to how you structure and use your health insurance can really pay off when the tax man comes. My Health Insurance of Washington is not qualified to give tax advice, but the next few items should be discussed with your tax preparer.
H.S.A. Plans: Health Savings Account qualified Health Insurance Plans (H.S.A.s) have two components: 1) a qualifying health insurance plan, and 2) a tax advantaged savings account. May people who have H.S.A. plans never set up and take the full advantage of the tax benefit associated with the allowed savings account component. Amounts (up to certain limits) contributed to your H.S.A. savings account can be deducted dollar for dollar from your top line income on form 1040 (line 25 on 2008s form). The money contributed tax free is yours to keep (its not use it or lose it) and to spend on any qualifying health expenses you or your family incur now or in the future. If you know you are going to have health expenses, you might as well pay for them with your tax free dollars.
Self-employment deduction: This is a no brainer for the self-employed or people with a small business. Health insurance premiums for you and your family can in many cases be taken as a business expense. (In 2008 on form 1040 it came out on the first page on line 29.) In addition, if you have an H.S.A. plan, not only can you take the top line deduction from your income for amounts contributed to your H.S.A. account as explained above, but your monthly H.S.A. health insurance premiums can also be taken as this business expense.
Health Expenses greater than 7.5% of your AGI: If your total health insurance expenses for you and your family are greater than 7.5% of your Adjusted Gross Income, amounts spent OVER that 7.5% can be taken as a deduction. What qualifies? Much more than you think! Please refer to the IRS site http://www.irs.gov/publications/p502/ar02.html for the full list. Many people just dont keep receipts, and dont realize that money spent on a whole host of qualifying health expenses could have been taken as a legitimate deduction. If you had a major health event, had a new baby, or other combined health expenses which could put you over the 7.5% threshold, make sure you look into this.

HBA announces private health insurance premiums to rise by an average of 6.0% for a single membership keeping the increase less than the national industry average of 6.02%.

HBA has again demonstrated that we don't believe in large premium fluctuations. Instead, we remain committed to ensuring health insurance is affordable for more Australians, while delivering access to high quality healthcare

In a perfect world, we would be able to shield customers from any price rise. However, the reality is that both the benefits we pay to members and the costs of healthcare are increasing considerably.

The sheer size of the benefits HBA is paying on behalf of members is testament to the fact that more and more Australians require expensive medical treatments

Irrespective of the fact that improved medical technologies and treatments are escalating the costs of healthcare, we're determined to keep downward pressure on members' costs

All HBA customers can have confidence that we will continue to support their health, and that of their families, via our cost-effective and comprehensive range of products and services

Melbourne, VIC (PRWEB) March 5, 2009 — HBA today announced its private health insurance premiums would rise by an average of 6.0%, or less than $1.50 a week, for a single membership.

Importantly, HBA's increase is lower than the national industry average of 6.02%, which was announced by the Federal Health Minister today.

The company's managing director, Richard Bowden, said this highlighted HBA's customer focus and price competitiveness, particularly given this was the eighth consecutive year its premiums were below the industry average.

“HBA has again demonstrated that we don't believe in large premium fluctuations. Instead, we remain committed to ensuring health insurance is affordable for more Australians, while delivering access to high quality healthcare,” he said.

“In a perfect world, we would be able to shield customers from any price rise. However, the reality is that both the benefits we pay to members and the costs of healthcare are increasing considerably.”

Bowden highlighted the fact that HBA's premiums had risen at a significantly lower rate than the increase in benefits paid on members' behalf.

In the 12 months to June 2008, HBA paid more than $1 billion - or over $2.8 million a day - in benefits to members. This surge in claims represented an increase of more than 10% - or $103.4 million - on the previous financial year.

HBA's 10 most expensive health insurance claims in 2008 totalled $1.1 million, while its highest claim was made by a member who underwent brain surgery - at a cost of $152,000.

“The sheer size of the benefits HBA is paying on behalf of members is testament to the fact that more and more Australians require expensive medical treatments,” Bowden said.

Similarly, the Health Services Index showed costs for hospital and medical services rose by 6.1% in 2008. Yet despite these ever-growing costs, 89% of all medical services provided to HBA members in hospital were gap free in 2008.

“Irrespective of the fact that improved medical technologies and treatments are escalating the costs of healthcare, we're determined to keep downward pressure on members' costs,” Bowden said.

HBA has been able to consistently keep its average private health insurance premium increases below the industry average due to efficient management practices and business operations.

The average dollar increase for HBA cover is less than $1.50 for singles and $3.30 for families per week - with the Federal Government rebate.

“All HBA customers can have confidence that we will continue to support their health, and that of their families, via our cost-effective and comprehensive range of products and services,” Bowden said.

HBA customers will be notified in writing of the changes to their insurance premiums. The changes are effective from Wednesday, 1 April.

About HBA
HBA is the second largest non-government private health fund in Australia. HBA's history in providing Australians with access to quality private health care can be traced back over seventy years, while more recently keeping its average premium increases below the industry average since 2002.

With the economy in a tailspin, many people are looking for ways to cut costs. Finding affordable health insurance is definitely one area most consumers are lo0king at. We have listed some secrets to affordable health insurance below that could help you cut your medical premium costs.Find insurance quotes online because today most websites will pull up multiple companies and only one inquiry is needed. Take the quotes you get and layout them out in a spreadsheet so it will let you compare in an “apples to apples” benefits situation so to speak.Custom building your health insurance plan is something you should always look at. One suit does not fit all. You can have higher deductibles and lower costs for example by adding a critical illness rider in the plan and in the event of a heart attack, stroke or cancer you would be protected at much less premium cost. The reason for having to meet a high deductible is a critical illness over 70% of the time.* Add up the doctor visits the entire family has in the course of the year. The average physician visit is $80 an if you multiply that times the visits for the family you may find by having that benefit on your health insurance policy it is not cost effective. Many plans today include wellness benefits anyway included in the coverage.* Always make sure your doctor and hospitals you would prefer are in the network of coverage. The in network billing costs will be less than the costs of visits otherwise. Find out if your doctor and hospital are in the network. And it may seem obvious but many people find out after coverage takes effect their providers are not in network.* Medication is definitely an area that needs to be looked at. With a little effort there are secrets to cutting prescription costs which are rising daily. Most medication today does have a generic form, and many health insurance plans have a zero deductible and low co-payment for generic drugs. Another key point is try to find out if you can order your “maintenance drugs”(the ones that you have been on for some time and the dosage has not changed) in 90 day supplies as this will cut a lot of cost for you.* Finally, if you want one of the lowest cost health insurance premiums and have tax savings at the same time consider an HSA (health savings account). This plan is very straightforward as you meet the designated deductible whether it is from inpatient or out patient treatment,or medication and once met the policy will cover 100% up to the designated amount. Usually at least 2 million dollars for the life of the policy. The premiums are put into a tax savings account and you have a nice write off for the year. This may fit you but you will want to ask your accountant or advisor. With healthcare premiums rising using these affordable health insurance secrets will help you cut costs without jeopardizing your benefits. As we said before, one size does not fit all in health insurance but if you only apply one of these secrets you can be closer to fitting your needs and budget.

I know what you are thinking. “I don’t need medical insurance. I’m in great health. I’m just wasting my money paying for it.” Stop for a moment and think about what you just said. While the statement you just made might be true, can you really say the same for five years down the road? How about ten?
Are you scared about what your late years have in store? Do you think about cancer and death often? What about your family, are you concerned about their well being? Do you fear for any major illnesses or diseases they might encounter? Of course you do, you’re human and you’re naturally attached to the family.
In some cases, the patient needs to undergo a complicated operation or even a transplant. Transportation is usually required as not all hospitals offer the type of operation or transplant you need. Can you cover all those costs?
Medical insurance will provide for you when the times get tough. They can cover most if not all of major operations and transplants as well as age related diseases and illnesses. Insurance companies will provide and make sure you live for as long as possible.
The birth of the 21st century has also created a resurrection in the medical industry. New medications and procedures are allowing people to live longer than ever before. Diseases that would normally wipe people out are now controlled or cured to some extent. People are enjoying the fact that they can live longer, healthier lives. s
Medical insurance can cover all these medications, treatments, and operations. All you need to do is get a jump start on the competition. You need to surprise your health problems, and not let them surprise you.
Apply for medical insurance before your health turns for the worse. This seems like common sense, but too many people neglect to sign up for insurance until their health is a problem. However, health insurance providers are much more willingly to accept your policy when you are in a good state of health.
Insurance companies have no moral obligation to insure everybody. In fact, they are much more willing to embrace clients that have been with the company for years. They are not willing to throw away money to just anyone. Come to the insurance company in relatively good health and you will be rewarded.
Develop a lifelong bond with your insurance company. Form that relationship early on in your life when you are healthy and full of life. The insurance company will return the loyalty by providing when you’re in a time of need.
